Location
Raggalds is located on the Brighouse
and Denholme Road just out of Queensbury heading
towards Bradford. It has easy access from the
M62, Halifax, Bradford and Huddersfield.
Raggalds is just 1 mile from Thornton village,
the birthplace of the Bronte family. A little
further on is Hawarth, famous for the Bronte vicarage,
the Steam Train and it cobbled streets.
Bradford boasts the National Museum of Photography,
Film and Television with its IMAX screen. It has
a thriving town centre with lots of shops and
restaurants to choose from.
Halifax is some 5 miles away and is steeped in
the traditions of the industrial revolution. It
is now a modern city with a bustling town centre
and the nationally famous Eureka, an interactive
museum for children. It is highly entertaining
and informative and will keep the kids occupied
for hours.
This is walking country and there are lots of
designated walks in the area to choose from. Why
not use Raggalds as your base for a day’s
walking and then return for that refreshing drink
and heartening meal.
We would be pleased to serve you!
